The Porta Potty Chronicles
Submission Guidelines
Submit material you created or have permission to share. Porta potties, field latrines, bathroom stalls, shipboard heads, training-site outbuildings, and the unofficial artwork or inscriptions inside them are all within the project’s scope. Approximate dates and uncertain locations are welcome.
Artwork submissions should document material that already existed when photographed. Do not mark government, public, private, or rented property for the purpose of making a submission. A partial transcription is welcome when handwriting can be read.
Graphic, adult, or crude artwork may be submitted when it documents the place honestly. Material is reviewed as General, Mature Field Humor, or Restricted Detail. Mature and restricted contributions may receive a clear notice or intentional reveal before publication.
Do not include classified information, operationally sensitive details, personal medical information, identifying information about another person, or material that could place someone at risk. Names, contact details, and sensitive information may be obscured before publication.
Every contribution is reviewed before publication. We may contact you to clarify dates, attribution, locations, content, transcription, or rights. We may make light edits for clarity while preserving the contributor’s meaning and voice.
Accepted file types include common image formats, PDF, and text files. Files may be no larger than 15 MB each.
Questions about a prospective contribution may be sent to submissions@portapottychronicles.com.
